This position will start in October/November 2024 and continue through the summer season until April 2025

The kitchen is where the magic happens in our Luxury Lodge - and you can be part of that! We currently have a fantastic opportunity for Chef de Partie and Demi Chef de Partie to join our team to create memorable and unique experiences. Duties include -

Due our private and remote location, you will need to have your own reliable transport. You will also need a valid working holiday visa or New Zealand work rights to apply.

- Preparing menus in collaboration with colleagues
- Ensuring adequacy of supplies at cooking stations
- Training, developing and supporting junior chefs.
- Preparing ingredients that should be frequently available (vegetables, spices etc)
- Following the guidance of the head or sous chefs and have input in new ways of presentation of dishes.
- Putting effort in optimising the cooking process with attention to speed and quality
- Enforcing strict health and hygiene standards
What you will bring:
For this position, you must be self-motivated, a team player and work well in a fast-paced environment. Ideally you will have:
- Minimum 2 years previous experience as a Chef de Partie, in a similar standard establishment
- Relevant culinary / hospitality qualifications
- Have excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes.
- Have the ability to think on your feet as we have many guest requests and menu changes each day
- Have good time management and the ability to multitask.
- Thorough understanding of Health & Safety requirements
