Description
This is a full-time and on-site position for a Groups & Events Sales Manager at Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest located in Budapest, Hungary. As a Groups & Events Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating group bookings and events at the hotel. This includes developing and maintaining relationships with clients, coordinating event logistics, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Being responsible for active sales
  • Finding new business partners and maintaining continuous contact with contracted partners
  • Monitoring market information and trends
  • Organizes and conducts house visits for partners and customers
  • Responsible for meeting set goals and revenue plans
  • Managing sales activities and events in line with the annual sales and marketing plan and achieving/exceeding the hotel's budget and sales strategy
  • Full management of events from contacting the client to closing the event
  • Develops and maintains long-term relationships with key partners
  • Development and increase of banquet revenues
  • Handle all correspondence regarding pre-event details, ensuring operational teams are fully aware of all information
  • Welcoming the organizers and conducting a site visit to assess the exact needs of the event
  • Coordination of conferences and related events
  • Coordination of invoicing procedures
  • Conducting exit interviews and sharing feedback with the appropriate departments


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Higher education
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hotel environment, in sales
  • User-level knowledge of MS Office, Opera Sales & Catering software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive, initiative attitude
  • Reliability
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
  • Proven sales and negotiation abilities
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Detail-and results oriented skills with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Fluency in English and Hungarian, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
