A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MIXOLOGIST AT THE MUNICIPAL HOTEL & SPA MGALLERY

What you'll be doing...

We are looking for a charismatic person who can put on a show and dazzle our guests with sparking personality, skills but most of all service.  Reporting to the Bar Manager, you will be based at the hotel on an hourly basis up to 40 hours per week (variety of shifts available).  You can expect your working day to include the following; 

To prepare, mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages based on customer requests, providing theatre, a memorable experience and exceeding expectations. Your duties include verifying the identification and age of customers, providing a prompt, delightful and caring service, accepting payment from customers, cleaning glasses and bar utensils, replenishing stock levels and balancing cash receipts to record sales.  To design cocktails in line with customer preferences or brand promotions.  To provide training classes and education of wines, spirits and cocktails to our existing Municipal team.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

We hire mostly on personality & potential but here are a few of our requirements...

To assist in the day to day service operation within the Bar and function areas.  To promote a hospitable and professional image to the guest and give full co-operation and the WOW factor to any guest, with a prompt, caring and helpful attitude.

Other duties include;

• Ensure service standards and service times are maintained by offering a prompt and efficient service.  Create a timeless memory and ensure our guests are delighted with our service.
• Anticipate guests’ needs wherever possible and promote hospitality within the hotel, enhancing guest satisfaction.
• To be fully aware of all Bar Menu’s and our stock list.
• Maximise sales and upselling opportunities.
• Follow company control procedures in accordance with the internal audit requirements, H&S requirements and licensing laws.
• To work positively and collaboratively with all departments and team members.
