What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following. 

  • Carry out short term (reactive) maintenance and decorating work e.g. repairs affecting guest bedrooms and services as a matter of urgency but adhering to all safety procedures and causing minimum disruption to guests. 
  • Use, operate and store all tools, equipment and materials safely and securely to comply with statutory regulations e.g. COSHH
  • Ensure security incidents in the operational area are reviewed and corrective measures implemented to prevent recurring incidents

To succeed in the role of Maintenance Team Member, you will need the following qualities and skills. 

  • You must be organised, an excellent communicator, and a hands-on team player who has excellent attention to detail 
  • Experience of working in a maintenance department of a similar quality hotel is required and knowledge of electrics and health and safety are beneficial. 
  • Computer literacy is also key for the compliance and audit part of this role.
