Job Summary:

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for purchasing all requirements of the Hotel and ensures that items purchased conform to the required standards of quality and quantity at the lowest possible cost. may also be required to source for items or contractors for special projects.

As a Purchasing Manager, we rely on you to,

• Obtains bids from at least three suppliers.
• Responsible for ensuring that all purchases meet the requirements of the hotel.
• Secure contracts with suppliers on best commercial terms.
• Coordinates closely with the Cost Controller on par stocks in the General store to ensure appropriate stock levels.
• Inform Cost Controller of any change in lead time and price trends.
• Coordinates with Financial Controller on credit arrangements with the Hotel’s suppliers.
• Participates in activities concerning the protection of the environment.
• Plans, implements and evaluates activities to keep suppliers and contractors aware of and in conformance to the Hotel’s environmental management system.
• Practice the guiding principles in day-to-day interaction.
• Adheres to the provisions outlined in the Employee’s Handbook, Disciplinary Code and Rules and Regulations.
• Reduces waste materials and supplies by adhering to the Company’s guidelines on re-use and re-cyclin.
• Maintains clean surroundings.

What we are Looking For:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar capacity, preferably hotels.
• Communicates and writes with fluency in English (as well as the Arabic language).
• Computer Knowledge.
