Main Purpose

To support the Human Resources operations, plan and execute all employee enrichment programs, assist with Human resources administration, assist with recruit, Benefits, training & development and separation processes.

Planning and executing Employee Enrichment Programs:

  • Creating a calendar of yearly events for employee enrichment programs
  • Creating a budget for employee enrichment programs
  • Presenting the budget for approval from Sr. Mgmt.
  • Planning and executing the event (identifying a team to aid and support)
  • Accessing staff engagement/participation in the events and provide reports to mgmt.


Administration Processes:

  • File HR documents in respective P-file
  • Upload employee documents on the 2interact system
  • Preparing Job Letters for employees upon request


Recruitment Processes:

  • Sorting and reviewing application forms
  • Responding to applicants advising that their application was received
  • Contacting and scheduling interviews
  • Taking part in face-to-face interviews with HODs
  • Pre-screening applicants
  • Arranging/Scheduling Medical Screening(s) for potential candidate(s)
  • Processing Background Check using Verified Credentials
  • Calling approved applicants who passed pre-employment screening with Job Offer
  • Vetting Medical Screening and Verified Credentials invoices for Accounts Dept.


Employee Onboarding:

  • Assist with the onboarding processes – Orientation:
  • Preparing welcome package
  • Explaining contract and provide other information
  • Arranging for boat transportation for new hires to Harvest Caye (if applicable)


Enrollment in 2interact System:

  • Entering employee information in payroll system- 2interact:
  • Synchronizing employees on Timeclock
  • Assigning immediate supervisor to the 2interact system
  • Creating Supervisor Accounts
  • Updating the 2interact System
  • Assisting supervisors with 2Interact Timesheet program


Preparing Identification Cards:

  • Preparing and providing BIHL ID card to team members
  • Preparing and providing BIHL ID card to Vendors/Tenants


Insurance Benefits Processes:

  • Keeping RF&G Life Insurance listing updated and providing to Payroll Dept.
  • Assist with RF&G Life Insurance enrolment for interested employees


Training and Development Programs:

  • Assisting in HR trainings and development programs:
  • Code of Ethics
  • Harassment
  • Performance Appraisal
  • Assist other training facilitators when they are conducting training at BIHL
  • Assist with scheduling training
  • Ensuring that the training facility is available
  • Training equipment/supplies are available
  • The trainer transportation/daily meals at the island is arranged


Employee Relations Processes:

  • Assist with employee disciplinary case investigation (sitting in as a witness while HR Manager is conducting the investigation).
  • Prepare reports for the various Employee Relations matters for submission to Corp. or HOD or HR Sr. Mgmt.


Separation Processes:

  • Assisting HOD with retrieving termination documents
  • Assisting with job terminations- (sitting in exist interviews)
  • Arranging for security to be present for termination discussions
  • Sitting in termination discussions
  • Receiving of BIHL properties from termed team member
  • Advising payroll dept of final payment information for all separations


Other Duties Assigned:

  • Assist HR with the HR PeopleSoft processes (if needed)
  • Assist HOD with HR queries (company policies & procedures) as well as other job-related queries
  • Tracking of BIHL employees vacation days
  • Generating reports based on request from HR Manager or HODs
  • Perform other department-related duties as assigned or as directed


Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Business/Events Coordination or other related field of study; or any equivalent combination of experience and skills.

Experience:

Minimum 1-year experience with HR or Business Administration and Event Planning.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Good teamwork skills to work with all other company departments and team members, to plan and execute enhancement programs that provide and upgrade the work culture on Harvest Caye
  • Strong communication skills and to collaborate with stakeholders across the company to implement Employee enrichment programs, and to present training materials.
  • Demonstrated success in gathering data, planning and executing highly participating activities.
  • Experience with HR processes, and Event planning/execution preferred.
  • Numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to prepare/present reports
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
