JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for the supply chain andlogistics, the Inventory Officer manages all the aspects related to on boardstores and inventory management (Food, Beverage, Hotel and Uniform), RDAs,loading operation, MMS management and cost control, supporting the ship withall the necessary storages assets to provide a guest experience and guarantee foodsafety in all storages.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
•Guarantee the correctness of the ship's data about stocks, consumption, orders, loading, inventories and internal movements;
•Prepares financial reports and records and ensures that assets and stocks are correctly calculated;
•Leads the assigned team;
•Ensures the Food Safety Compliance;
•Organizes the ship's provision logistic in accordance with the on-board stocks and consumption;
• Anticipates and organizes orders requests, based on ship's itinerary and canvas;
•Monitors the on-board costs and the finance impacts.

QUALIFICATIONS
•Fluent in English, any other additional European languages are an advantage;
•Degree in logistic and supply chain;
•Logistics, Warehouse, Supply chain previous experience at management level;
•Cruise ship's experience in same position;
•F&B management experience;
•Food safety knowledge as per international regulations;
•Excel and data analysis advanced level;
•Analytics skills;
•Hands on approach.

VISA REQUIREMENTS
Possess a valid passport and when possible a seaman book copy.

Recruitment Prospects
With three new mega-ships and four Luxury ships to be built and delivered between 2023 and 2027, the biggest and most important challenge for MSC Cruises is to find, recruit and train a high number of new crew members needed to provide the service, fun and safety that have become hallmarks of MSC Cruises.

This massive project is already well under way. The Human Resources Team is not only working to recruit the best talents but is also visiting our manning agencies and hiring partners around the world to ensure that the right people and facilities are in place to prepare this ‘army’ of new crew members for their life at sea.
