As the Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for:
- the day-to-day operations of the pastry and bakery section of the kitchen.
- preparing a wide variety of bakery items following traditional and modern cooking methods and recipes.
- developing, designing, or creating new ideas and items for Pastry Kitchen and create new and exciting desserts to engage the interest of customers
- coordinating activities of pastry team and other chefs engaged in food preparation.
Ideal candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum 5 to 10 years' work experience as a Pastry Chef in a larger operation.
- Experience in a Michelin-starred restaurant is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of different types of pastry, dessert, cake decorating.
- Posses a professional disposition with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends, days, afternoons and evenings.
- Positive attitude and good communication skills.
