About the job

In this program, you will follow rotations based on your tailor-made training program. Some of the rotations that you might follow are:

Hot food station
Live station
Garde manger
Line cook
Fine dining
Banqueting and events

Participants will be provided with a range of learning opportunities throughout the year, gaining exposure to a range of front-desk and concierge operations. Guest check-in and room assignments, operating a telephone switchboard system, running and checking daily reports, processing all guest requests and concerns, and providing excellent guest service at all times will become part of the everyday responsibilities in this role. Most importantly, you will learn how to complete these to the high standards that you would expect from a leading Marriott resort, gaining a skill set that will compliment your professional career and enhance your future career prospects.

  • PROGRAM FEES: - $4000 USD Program fee - $185 USD Embassy Fee - $220 USD SEVIS fee - Flights to and from you will be flying

About you

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS PROGRAM AS A J-1 INTERN, YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

* Be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
* Speak fluent English.
* Be available for a 12-month contract.
* Be currently enrolled in full-time education at a University outside of the United States.
* Studying towards an undergraduate degree in a Tourism, Hospitality or Events related subject OR have graduated from these studies no more than 12 months prior to your program start date.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS PROGRAM AS A J-1 TRAINEE, YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

* Be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
* Speak fluent English.
* Be available for a 12-month contract.
* Be a graduate from an undergraduate degree in a Tourism, Hospitality or Events related subject PLUS at least one year of related work experience in this industry. This experience must have been obtained outside of the United States.
* If you have not studied at University level, you must have at least five-years work experience in the tourism/hospitality industry to qualify. This experience must have been obtained outside of the United States.
  • Language required: English.
