- £30,000 - £32,000 (depending on experience)

Person Specification:
Essential:
• Creativity, a passion for food and flexibility to adapt menus to suit the unique needs of actors, directors, and theatre-goers.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Proven experience of creating recipes and food management systems that can be easily delegated and communicated
• Proven experience in a kitchen environment, with a demonstrated ability to minimize waste and maximise ingredients without compromising on taste or quality.
• Align with our theatre's commitment to ethical practices by championing sustainability and responsible food sourcing.
• Flexibility and the ability to adapt to according business needs
• Attention to detail and good organisational skills
• Great people skills and able to work as part of a team
• Good written and spoken English
Desirable:
• Food Hygiene Certificate
• Experience of working in a commercial kitchen
• Interest in working in an arts environment

The company
The Almeida Café & Bar is the best place to meet before a show - fantastic quality dining in an informal setting and a carefully selected drinks list supporting local producers and sustainable practices. After the show it becomes a lively hub for audiences and actors alike.
We are open from two hours before every performance until 11pm, and our kitchen closes 30 minutes before the performance starts.
